Here are some photos from our first Mountainview service project. We spent a Saturday helping Alejandro and Mary Beth, founders of an oranization called Operación SOS, sort goods they will take by truck to Mauritania in Africa in August.

This photo gives you an idea of the work we had ahead of us in the basement. We sorted and organized these items, bundling together tables, for example, for a school in Mauritania.

Here Mary Beth is showing off her store, which serves as a source of income for the organization, so Mary Beth and Alejandro can continue making trips to Africa.

We also tested radios to see which ones were functional and would be taken to Africa.

After we finished working, Alejandro and Mary Beth invited us over to their house for a barbecue.

They showed us the truck they take to Africa.

Inside, Mary Beth explained how they fill half the truck with goods, and the other half they use for sleeping and cooking.
